Known limitations
Controlled Beta Limitations
Citizen Authority coverage is intentionally bounded while source adapters, public readback, source health, and beta operations are proven.
Coverage is partial
Federal coverage is bounded and partial. Colorado State and Colorado Local proof work does not mean every Colorado state record or local jurisdiction is production-live.
Supported jurisdictions, record types, freshness, and completeness vary by authoritative source. Coverage expands only after sources are verified and labeled honestly.
Government data can change
Government information may be normalized, summarized, reorganized, delayed, incomplete, temporarily unavailable, or corrected when authoritative records change.
Where Citizen Authority conflicts with an official government source, the authoritative source controls.
AI is not authoritative
AI summaries, plain-English titles, explanations, comparisons, and similar analysis are generated to help users understand source material. They are not official government statements.
AI-generated material can contain errors or omit nuance and should be checked against linked authoritative sources for consequential decisions.
Political neutrality
Citizen Authority is designed to present authoritative records without partisan advocacy. It does not promise every user will perceive every explanation as perfectly unbiased.
Corrections and source-linked challenges are part of the beta process when the product misses context or represents a source poorly.
